Change The Narrative: Summer Leadership Academy 2021

The International Girls Academy hosted its Inaugural  Summer Leadership Academy from July 6th-July 15th. Our theme is Social Justice with an emphasis on Diversity and Inclusion this Summer, with a focus on S.T.E.M, Entrepreneurship, Media, and Financial Literacy. Students will pitch everything from the next best app, solution to solving how we can improve diversity in the workplace, etc. 

Summer Impact Report 

  • Created their own Scary Movie Scene

  • Developed Daughters of the Community Book Concept 

  • Produced Girl Talk Tv Show Our Way 

  • Created their own business Plan

  • Competed in our, “ We Must Make Our Own Way” Business Plan Competition 

Girls Impacted

The International Girls Academy impacted Fifty girls during our Change The Narrative: Summer Leadership Academy. The International Girls Academy gave out $12,000 in Summer Stipends, computers, gift cards, toiletry needs, and prizes to girls this summer. A special thanks to our Board Members, Volunteers, Stakeholders, and Friends of IGA who made this possible.
